Quick Lube Service Technician

This role will mainly be focused on fluid checks and basic maintenance. Typically, a Quick Lube Service Technician will change a vehicle's oil, check the transmission fluid and other fluid levels, inspect various belts and filters, and check air levels and gauges.

Quick Lube Service Technician Compensation and Benefits:

Quick Lube Service Technician Responsibilities:

  • Test to check whether systems and components are secure and working properly
  • Carefully inspect and document any issues or maintenance needs
  • Drain and refill various fluids, replace filters
  • Perform brake pad replacement and resurface or replace rotors and related hardware
  • Remove and replace tires and related hardware and sensors
  • Repair or replace worn parts and contaminated fluids to a professional standard
  • Use power tools, machine tools, vehicle lifts, jacks, and common hand tools to perform various tasks

Quick Lube Service Technician Requirements:

  • Ford Certification is a plus
  • Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus
  • Ability to identify the problem quickly
  • Knowledge of automobiles
  • Effective analytical and communication skills
  • Strong reading, computer skills
  • Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
  • Comfortable operating electronic diagnostic equipment and navigating basic computer systems
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 6 months in Automotive service department
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time in a hot or cold environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive, friendly attitude
  • Ability to maintain a professional and clean appearance and workspace
