Fleet Fueler - Detailer

Full Time — Weslaco, TX, US

Salary Range: $13.31 to $15.00 Hourly

This position is responsible for cleaning and detailing the interior and exterior of transit vehicles and ensuring vehicles are clean and ready for departure. Maintains wash bay area in a clean and organized state. Works under close supervision with minimal latitude for initiative. Reports to the Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor and provides support to Maintenance staff to ensure shop and safety compliance.

• Clean and detail transit fleet vehicles (interior and exterior); wax, polish, and refurbish as needed.
• Prepare vehicles for departure; fuel as required; check for damage and ensure vehicle features are operational.
• Maintain wash bay area, equipment, and inventory of cleaning materials; keep tools in proper working order.
• Assist Motor Vehicle Technicians and mechanics; coordinate parts and equipment delivery.
• Report any vehicle damage or safety concerns to the program supervisor.
• Respond to public inquiries and communicate effectively; maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Comply with shop safety standards and foster a safe working environment.

• Ability to repeatedly bend, stoop, reach, and work with Cleaning chemicals; comfortable with physical tasks.
• Proficiency with office equipment and basic computer use; knowledge of office practices preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English; bilingual ability in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Graduation from a standard high school or equivalent preferred; experience and education may be substituted for one another.

Valid/Current Texas Driver's License;
Commercial Driver's License (preferred).
