Position Description

The Demand Planning & Performance Specialist is responsible for driving data-driven insight, forecasting accuracy, and operational efficiency across the Socomore North American supply chain. This role focuses on demand forecasting, performance analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives using data, Power BI, and cross-functional collaboration. The position enables informed decision-making by transforming supply chain data into actionable insights that improve service, efficiency, and planning reliability.

Responsibilities
  • Drives demand forecasting processes (Sage X3) by analyzing historical demand, trends, and forecast accuracy.
  • Identifies gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities across planning, inventory, and operations.
  • Analyzes operational data to support decision-making related to service levels, inventory, and efficiency.
  • Develops and maintains supply chain performance dashboards and analytical tools (Power BI, Excel, etc.).
  • Partners with supply chain and operations teams to define and track KPIs.
  • Supports scenario analysis and ad hoc analysis requests from leadership.
  • Documents analytical assumptions, methodologies, and insights for transparency and repeatability.
  • Ensures analytics and reporting align with company standards and strategic objectives.
  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and performance tracking.
  • Works with stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability.
  • Ensures compliance with all safety standards, environmental requirements, and the Company Code of Conduct.
  • Maintains assigned work areas in a clean, safe condition and promotes a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications

Minimum

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Internship or similar experience in supply chain analytics, demand planning, operations analysis, or continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience handling large datasets.
  • Experience building reports, dashboards, or analyses to support business decisions.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with BI or analytics tools.

Preferred

  • Power BI experience (modeling, measures, and visualization).
  • Experience with demand forecasting, planning, or MRP environments.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain data structures.
  • Experience supporting operational efficiency or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Exposure to manufacturing or industrial supply chain environments.
  • Valid passport or ability to obtain one to travel internationally

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to analyze demand patterns, forecast accuracy, and operational performance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement orientation.
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with supply chain, operations, finance, and leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple analyses and initiatives concurrently.
Travel Requirements
  • Within the first year, this role will spend approximately 1–3 months in France for training and system onboarding.
  • Thereafter, there could be up to a week per year in France, as required.
