Reporting to the Director of Procurement , the Buyer will be responsible for source selection and procurement functions related to the detailing, fabrication, and field operations for various Patriot Erectors locations including DFW, Central Texas, Houston, and Trinity, Texas.

• Secure and analyze supplier quotes.
• Generate purchase orders for raw steel materials, fasteners and pre-fabricated products from suppliers
• Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers.
• Organize and implement purchasing strategies with direction from the Director of Procurement .
• Study market prices and trends.

• Closely coordinate with Fabrication/Field Operations and Project Management to assure timely execution of product sourcing activities.
• Research and recommend suppliers with respect to cost, quality, and delivery(schedule) competitiveness for assigned responsibilities.
• Coordinate the inventory control parameters for the assigned products.
• Assist in the resolution of product quality and delivery problems.

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5 years plus experience in a steel manufacturing environment.
• 2 years of purchasing and material control experience in a steel manufacturing environment.
