POSITION SUMMARY
The Sales Analyst is responsible for financial planning, sales data analysis, reporting, strategy development, and performance evaluation across Asia. Key duties include data collection, trend analysis, sales forecasting, report creation, communication with stakeholders, and staying updated on industry trends.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Data Collection and Analysis- Gather and analyze sales data from various sources (e.g., ERM, spreadsheets, reports).
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in sales performance.
- Perform statistical analysis and forecasting to predict future sales.
- Ensure data integrity by validating sources, reconciling discrepancies, and maintaining data governance/definitions for KPIs.
- Conduct customer, product, and region segmentation analyses (mix, margin, volume, price) to diagnose drivers of performance.
- Provide ad-hoc analyses (e.g., win/loss, price-volume-mix, pipeline conversion) to support business reviews and decision-making.
- Create and maintain regular sales reports and dashboards.
- Present data interpretations and insights to stakeholders.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to sales teams and management.
- Standardize reporting cadence (weekly/monthly/Q ) and automate recurring reports to improve speed, accuracy, and scalability.
- Translate complex data into clear executive summaries, insights, and actionable recommendations for leadership.
- Support CRM and pipeline reporting by defining required fields, monitoring hygiene/accuracy, and coaching users on reporting standards as needed.
- Develop and implement sales strategies based on data analysis and market trends.
- Contribute to setting sales goals and quotas.
- Identify opportunities for improving sales efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support territory/account planning by analyzing white space, account potential, coverage models, and route-to-market effectiveness.
- Partner with Sales and Finance on pricing and profitability analyses (discounts, price realization, margin impact) to guide commercial decisions.
- Assist in sales incentive/commission reporting and performance tracking, ensuring alignment to plan rules and target setting.
- Evaluate sales representatives' performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure sales success.
- Monitor pipeline health and funnel KPIs (coverage, aging, stage conversion, forecast accuracy) and flag risks/opportunities early.
- Prepare materials for business reviews (M /Q ), including scorecards, variance analysis versus plan, and corrective action tracking.
- Own and maintain sales operating metrics and definitions, ensuring consistent measurement across the region.
- Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., standard templates, workflow streamlining, reduced manual work).
- Coordinate with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain on forecast inputs, demand planning assumptions, and alignment to S&OP cycles where applicable.
- Support sales systems master data and setup (accounts, hierarchy, product mapping) in partnership with relevant system owners.
- Keep abreast of technological innovations and industry best practices.
- Stay informed of market trends and competitor activities.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Marketing, Mathematics)
- 3 years experience with statistical analysis and sales support
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and regulatory changes.
