Data Processing Specialist

About The Role

Data Processing Specialists are responsible for the data integrity and documentation of deposit accounts. They perform maintenance on all deposit accounts and safe deposit boxes as requests are submitted by a location’s personal bankers. Imaged documents for these modules are reviewed for accuracy as part of the second‑day review process to ensure accurate and complete documentation required by regulation. Tracking software is used to monitor identified exceptions.

• Understand and follow the standardized procedures and policies of maintenance and second‑day‑review duties.
• Develop and maintain an in‑depth knowledge of bank products, services, department procedures and policies.
• Handle problem recognition, research, resolution and follow‑up for routine inconsistencies between branch documents, system information and standardized procedures.
• Document and retain daily work following the record retention requirements of the department.
• Answer phone calls and provide customer service as needed.
• Comply with privacy policies and procedures to maintain customer confidentiality and information protection.
• Comply with all federal, state and local regulatory rules and regulations governing financial institutions, as well as all company policies and procedures.
• Complete and pass all required regulatory compliance training as assigned.
• Perform any additional duties and tasks assigned by management.

• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate related computer applications and other business equipment including a calculator, copy machine and telephone system.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months of previous banking experience; personal banking experience is a plus.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Monday‑Friday 8am‑5pm with a 1‑hour lunch break.

Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in an emergency situation. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.

Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on the geographic location of the position.
