Operations Manager
Summary
Supervisor – Operations ) – responsible for overseeing all operations within the area, including pipeline operations, mechanical maintenance, and environmental functions, while ensuring an excellent safety record and compliance with partnership policies and budgetary limits.
Responsibilities- Collect information to aid in the design of pipeline systems.
- Monitor business activity and request overtime as necessary.
- Provide constructive criticism and coaching opportunities.
- Identify and correct basic and routine problems in pipeline operations.
- Build positive relationships with regulatory auditors.
- Complete and maintain accurate records and reports to comply with company and regulatory requirements.
- Safely operate and inspect assigned company vehicles and equipment.
- Demonstrate support for company values, safety, and the Code of Conduct as a team member.
- Report outside the regular work area when required.
- Use IRTH, G-Form, IMS, and SAP as needed.
- Manage personnel and schedule assignments as necessary.
- Manage budget items and stay within budget.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work in all weather conditions, including extremes of climate, high noise levels, and rough terrain.
- Complete safety training and adhere to the Safety Manual.
- Schedule aerial inspections on a bi‑annual basis or as needed.
- Assist with reports and operations as needed.
- Submit weekly reports to managers.
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise daily pipeline activities.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate gas leak surveys, including reviewing flight reports and documenting findings with G‑forms.
- Create bid packets for revetments, piping upgrades, and other projects up for bid.
- Coordinate all pipeline projects.
- Communicate daily with report workload and schedule.
- Monitor SAP activities such as valve maintenance and pipeline patrol.
- Ensure technicians are available for integrity work and pipeline excavations, populate G‑forms and database, and participate in pre‑dig meetings.
- Help build and prepare for agency audits related to pipeline and facility maintenance (e.g., RRC, PHMSA).
- Communicate with support groups, DTO, other operating areas, corrosion, and maintenance teams.
- High school diploma; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of industry experience.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office software products.
- Normal office working conditions.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged sitting or standing.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Occasional visits to industrial or manufacturing settings, which may involve exposure to chemicals, extreme temperatures, loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
