Location: Childress

The Field Office Manager supports construction operations by managing administrative and office functions on-site. The role works closely with the Project Superintendent, Project Manager, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.

Salary Range: $50,000 to $75,000 + per diem & incentives

Location: Fully on-site at the project located in Childress, TX.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Manage security badging systems including background checks, issuing badges, and maintaining the badging database.
  • Process monthly subcontract billings and all material invoices for the project.
  • Track drug testing and safety orientation paperwork.
  • Develop and maintain files, forms, purchase orders, subcontract files, meeting minutes, and miscellaneous documents.
  • Type the project daily diaries, meeting minutes, and other assignments.
  • Maintain job site server correspondence.
  • Maintain office supplies needed for the job.
  • Track and submit hourly payroll to the Craft Payroll department.
  • Perform the responsibilities above as well as any other special projects in line with position expectations (e.g., employee lunches, running errands).
Qualifications
  • One (1) year of Accounting or Payroll, or similar experience preferred.
  • At least one (1) year of accounting and office management experience in the construction, engineering, or architectural field required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Working knowledge of JDE version A9.1 preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Procore or Prolog preferred.
  • Working knowledge of LCP Tracker preferred.
  • Working knowledge of The City of Portland Workforce Training program is a plus.
  • Ability to work well and maintain a cooperative attitude through high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent time-management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work while frequently interrupted by phone calls and questions on work in progress.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Ability to work well in a large professional setting; patience and professionalism are essential.
  • Must be a strong team player with the ability to collaborate with various personnel within and across departments and at all levels of leadership.
  • Must pass the Hoffman Drug and Alcohol test.
Physical & Metal Requirements
  • Standing/Walking/Sitting: workday is a combination of standing, walking and sitting.
  • Must be able to climb stairs: 5% of the day.
  • Hands/Arms: constant use of hands/fingers for mouse/keyboard/computer use.
  • Sight: visual acuity in near, mid and far range vision. Color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, hand/eye coordination.
  • Hearing: sufficient to hear conversational levels in person and over the telephone.
  • Speech: sufficient to make oneself heard in person, speak in front of groups, and be understood over the telephone.
  • Bending/Twisting: minimal.
  • Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: minimal.
  • Constant mental alertness, accuracy, and attention to detail required.
  • Must be able to work independently, make decisions, and follow through on all assignments.
  • Must use creativity, independent judgment, and organizational and problem-solving skills to determine the best method to accomplish desired results.
  • Must be able to plan and organize work.
