Salary Range: $14.00 To $17.00 Hourly
The Aftercare Coordinator assists in the after-school care program for students at Divine Savior Academy, providing a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. The After Care Coordinator is responsible for planning activities and communicating effectively with parents and school leadership.

Duties- Assists the after-school care staff and para educators in the implementation of the after-school care program
- Organizes children into groups for supervision and activities
- Participates in after school care activities, and is actively involved with the children
- Supervises children in after school care, ensuring a safe environment
- Implements and follows the schedule of after school care activities
- Tracks children signed into after school care
- Ensures that all children who come to after school care are signed in
- Ensures that children are released only to those that are authorized
- Maintains careful records of the times that children are present in after school care and the caregiver that each child was released to
- Builds strong relationships with students, parents, families, and colleagues
- Engages in appropriate and beneficial teacher-child interactions
- Communicates regularly and effectively
- Collaborates with other after school care staff in a positive and beneficial way
- Contributes to team-building exercises with staff
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Early Childhood or Elementary Education coursework, training, or experience (formal college education is preferred)
- Excellent communication skills including oral, written, and interpersonal
- Ability to work proficiently in a diverse and multicultural setting
- Capability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and families
- Exemplary Christian role model who lets his or her "light shine"
- Ability to participate in physical activities with students
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds (e.g., assisting with setting up activities or moving equipment).
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods during the aftercare hours
