Substation Construction Manager
Location: McCamey, TX
Contract Duration: 12 Months
OverviewOur client is a leading energy infrastructure company seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee critical substation construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional with 6-10 years of construction management experience to lead complex electrical infrastructure projects in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prioritize and enforce safety protocols on job sites, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective project completion
- Perform inspections, maintain QA/QC documents, and audit construction quality for adherence to standards
- Maintain open communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders throughout projects
- Keep detailed records of construction activities, progress reports, and safety inspections
- Lead and manage construction teams, monitor tasks, provide feedback, and resolve conflicts
- Work with EPC contractors to resolve requests for information (RFI) and change orders
- Oversee material procurement and management
- Manage concrete work including flat foundations, drill piers, breaker pads, and GSU containment pits
- 6-10 years of construction management experience, preferably in electrical/substation construction
- Vast knowledge of electrical schematics, mechanical, civil, and steel structural drawings
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and hazard identification/mitigation
- Strong problem-solving abilities to keep projects on track
- Experience with concrete work and foundation systems
- Broad understanding of company policies and procedures
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work full-time on-site in McCamey, TX
- Competitive hourly rate of up to $58/hour
