About this PositionPosition Summary
The Project Controls Coordinator supports the project controls team in maintaining accurate project performance tracking for data center design and construction projects. This role assists with schedule updates, cost and risk tracking, progress reporting, document management, and data analysis to ensure project leadership has reliable information to monitor schedule, budget, and overall project performance.
The Project Controls Coordinator works closely with Project Controls Managers, project management, construction teams, and engineering groups to collect and maintain project data while supporting reporting requirements for internal leadership and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Project Data Management: Maintain project controls data including cost reports, estimates, schedules, progress updates, and performance metrics across all disciplines and phases of execution; assist with collecting project data from engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and tenant fit‑out teams; ensure project documentation and reporting information are organized and maintained accurately; support integration of project information across project management systems.
- Schedule Coordination: Assist with maintaining project schedules under the direction of the Project Controls Manager; collect schedule updates from project team members and subcontractors; support schedule status reporting and tracking of project milestones; help identify potential schedule risks or delays for review by project controls leadership.
- Cost Tracking Support: Assist with maintaining project cost tracking tools including commitments, actual costs, and forecasts; support invoice tracking, subcontractor cost updates, and purchase order monitoring; help prepare cost reports and financial summaries for project leadership.
- Progress Measurement & Reporting: Support preparation of weekly and monthly project performance reports; assist with updating dashboards, KPIs, and reporting metrics; track project progress against schedule milestones and deliverables; maintain reporting templates and presentation materials for project leadership meetings.
- Change Management Support: Assist with documentation and tracking of change orders and project scope changes; support schedule and cost updates associated with approved changes; maintain change logs and tracking registers.
- Project Coordination: Participate in project coordination meetings and collect required project data; assist with preparation of meeting reports and action‑item tracking; support communication between project controls, project management, and construction teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Finance, or related field preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in place of formal education.
Experience2–5 years of experience in project coordination, project controls, construction administration, or scheduling support. Experience in data center, mission‑critical, industrial, or commercial construction projects preferred. Experience supporting large construction projects is highly desirable.
Technical SkillsFamiliarity with Primavera P6 or other project scheduling tools preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Procore. Knowledge of Power Apps and Power BI preferred. Experience with project management or cost tracking software is a plus. Strong organizational and data management skills.
