  • Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets and cost forecasts; review and approve invoices, change orders, and payment applications.
  • Manage procurement of materials and equipment; collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.
  • Supervise onsite activities and coordinate trade contractors to ensure work is performed to specifications, plans, and applicable codes.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality assurance/quality control reviews to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, OSHA regulations, and company safety programs; lead or participate in safety meetings and incident investigations.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to clients, stakeholders, and senior management through clear reporting and meetings.
  • Oversee commissioning, testing, and turnover of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems; ensure as built documentation and closeout packages are complete.
  • Manage change orders, claims, and dispute resolution; implement risk mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Mentor and coordinate project engineers, superintendents, and field personnel to foster teamwork and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years proven project management experience in commercial and/or industrial construction with emphasis on mechanical and plumbing.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, Procore or similar) and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC design, installation practices, and applicable codes and standards (IBC, IMC, NFPA, local codes).
  • Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Relevant certifications a plus (PMP, CCM, LEED, or HVAC-related certifications); OSHA 10/30 preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on collaboration and problem solving.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel to job sites as required; willingness to work in a field environment with hands on involvement.
