Site Engineer (Marine Projects) | METKA ATE

METKA ΑΤΕ, as a subsidiary of METLEN, has long‑term experience in the infrastructure sector, holding a seventh class contractor's certificate and now specializes in construction activities for infrastructure projects such as road construction, certified buildings, railway, marine projects, and waste management projects.

• Oversee on‑site construction activities and ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, method statements, quality requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Support the execution and coordination of marine works, including quay walls, caissons, dredging, reclamation, rock works, revetments, concrete works, piling, and other port infrastructure activities.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Manager, Technical Office, subcontractors, suppliers, survey teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth site operations.
• Monitor daily progress, productivity, resources, and site constraints, and report any issues that may affect time, cost, quality, or safety.
• Prepare and maintain site documentation, including daily reports, progress records, quantity measurements, comparison tables, cost‑related inputs, and short‑term schedules.
• Assist in the planning and sequencing of works to meet project milestones and deadlines.
• Ensure that works are carried out safely and in accordance with approved HSE procedures.
• Support inspections, quality checks, material control, and coordination with supervision teams where required.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Surveying Engineering, or another relevant technical field.
• At least 5 years of previous experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar construction site role.
• Experience in marine, port, coastal, dredging, or heavy civil infrastructure projects will be appreciated.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, method statements, and site execution requirements.
• Good knowledge of MS Office. Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar software will be considered an asset.
• Excellent command of Greek and good working knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, site teams, and project stakeholders.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a highly motivated project team.
• Ability to prioritize, plan, and deliver reliable results within deadlines.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Willingness and ability to work on site in Greece, including marine project environments.
