Position Summary
The Special Construction Manager is responsible for planning, developing, analyzing, and managing construction cost estimates for Multi‑Dwelling Unit (MDU) projects including apartment communities, condominiums, mixed‑use developments, student housing, and senior living facilities. This role serves as the subject‑matter expert for project costing, construction feasibility, budget development, and financial analysis related to network infrastructure deployment and special construction initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop detailed construction cost estimates for MDU connectivity projects.
- Create labor, material, equipment, permitting, and restoration forecasts.
- Analyze project profitability, ROI, and capital expenditure requirements.
- Review contractor bids, proposals, and change orders.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and cost‑optimization efforts.
- Partner with Sales, Engineering, Finance, and Property Owners.
- Generate project cost reports and budget forecasts.
- 5+ years of telecommunications, utility, or infrastructure construction experience.
- 3+ years of cost estimating and budgeting experience.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
- Broadband or fiber network construction experience.
- Knowledge of MDU deployment strategies.
- PMP, CCM, RCDD, or similar certifications.
- Experience with GIS.
