VDC Manager

12 month contract converting to full time hire!

Insight Global is currently seeking a Mid-Level Estimator / Senior Estimator to join a client in the commercial construction industry. This individual will support the preparation and development of detailed cost estimates for large-scale construction projects, with an emphasis on data centers and other complex commercial builds. They will review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to perform quantity takeoffs, analyze project scope, and develop competitive pricing strategies.

The estimator will coordinate subcontractor outreach, manage bid tracking activities, review drawing revisions, facilitate scope clarifications, and ensure all pricing changes and change orders are captured accurately. They will work closely with preconstruction, operations, and project management teams to align on project scope, risk assessments, constructability reviews, and value engineering opportunities. Additionally, they will utilize Excel, Bluebeam, and Procore to manage estimates, document changes, and support proposal development throughout the bidding process.

• 7+ years of commercial construction estimating experience
• Experience performing quantity takeoffs and scope reviews
• Experience working across all construction disciplines
• Strong subcontractor bid tracking experience including:
• Drawing revisions
• Follow-ups
• Capturing scope changes
• Change order management
• Advanced Excel skills
• Procore experience
• Ability to review plans, specifications, and bid documents

• Data center project experience strongly preferred
• Experience with Cost-OS, OST, and/or Plan Swift
• Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree

$65hr to $85hr.
