Location: Cameron, TX (onsite)
Employment Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time Compensation: $150k-$220k Reports To: VP of Operations

This is a confidential search conducted on behalf of a growing construction organization. The company name will be disclosed to qualified candidates as the process progresses.

Relocation Requirement

This is an onsite position
. Candidates who do not currently live within a commutable distance of Cameron, TX must be willing to relocate to the Cameron, TX area as a condition of employment. This is a non-negotiable.

Position Summary

The Project Executive is a senior leader responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects, ensuring they align with organizational goals, meet quality standards, and are delivered on time and within budget. This role oversees a construction division — including field and office operations staff across multiple project teams — and operates out of the Cameron and/or College Station office.

The Project Executive also serves as a key point of contact for clients.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and Manage for Accountability

  • Lead and oversee project teams, including field and office operations staff
  • Identify potential risks, develop contingency plans, and proactively address issues to minimize project disruptions
  • Confer with project staff to outline work plans, assign duties/responsibilities, and delegate authority

Project Delivery

  • Manage project budgets, monitor costs, identify potential cost overruns, and implement cost-saving measures
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, identify critical path items, and ensure timely project completion
  • Implement quality control measures to guarantee project deliverables meet specifications and industry standards
  • Regularly visit construction sites to monitor progress, identify safety concerns, and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with the business development team to prepare proposals and bids for new projects

Customer Relations

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and expectations to ensure project alignment
  • Participate in contract negotiations with preconstruction services and clients
  • Ensure consistent performance and project delivery (preconstruction and construction) that exceeds client expectations; responsible for all corporate commitments and follow-through

Strategic Direction & Execution

  • Develop and implement comprehensive project strategies, aligning project goals with the company's broader strategic objectives
  • Influence team growth and development throughout the department utilizing training tools, people services, and encouragement

Culture

  • Foster a positive team culture, promote collaboration, and support professional development within the project team
Scope of Role
  • Oversees a team of 10+ Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and Superintendents

  • 10+ years of relevant construction leadership experience required

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Science or a related field encouraged
  • Procore experience
  • Design-build project experience
