FrontEnd Loader Operator – Heavy Civil

• Operate rubber-tired, skid steer, or crawler-type tractors with attached front-end scoop buckets
• Load materials from stockpiles, excavations, batch plants, and trucks
• Operate equipment with attachments in lieu of buckets when needed
• Start engines and operate throttles, switches, levers, and pedals
• Signal truck drivers to position trucks for loading dirt, rocks, and other materials
• Avoid hazards and obstructions including utility lines, equipment, workers, and falling objects
• Oil, grease, service, and make necessary adjustments to machinery
• Comply with safety policies and report unsafe activities
• Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
• Provide leadership by example and share knowledge and skills
• Perform other assigned duties

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required
• Three or more years of related construction experience preferred
• Knowledge of and compliance with company safety policies and procedures
• Legally eligible to work in the United States of America
• Successful completion of required drug screen
• Successful completion of medical exam for field positions
• Background check may be required for some positions
• Ability to perform heavy physical activity and strenuous day activities
• Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items and work with fingers
• Ability to perceive attributes of objects and materials
• Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat
• Ability to work around moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions, high or precarious places, and loud noise

Demonstrates expertise in operating heavy machinery such as rubber-tired and crawler-type tractors, with a strong emphasis on safety compliance and teamwork. Capable of performing physical tasks in various outdoor conditions while maintaining equipment and adhering to safety protocols.
