Atlas is seeking a CM Inspector 2 to support highway and bridge construction projects in Midland, TX
, ensuring work is completed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and quality standards. This position plays a critical role in delivering safe, reliable infrastructure by performing field inspections, documenting construction activities, and verifying compliance with TxDOT requirements. The ideal candidate will work closely with contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders to identify issues, maintain accurate records, and support successful project delivery.

Responsibilities include reviewing daily reports, conducting field measurements, verifying quantities, and monitoring construction operations throughout the project lifecycle. Successful candidates are detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in active construction environments while managing multiple priorities. • Inspect highway and bridge construction operations to verify compliance with approved TxDOT plans, special provisions, and contract specifications.
• Review and process daily work reports, material submittals, shop drawings, and monthly progress estimates.
• Perform field measurements and standard calculations to establish accurate pay item quantities.
• Coordinate directly with resident engineers, contractors, and city officials to resolve on-site alignment and structural discrepancies.
• Monitor contractor traffic control setups and erosion control devices to ensure adherence to safety regulations.

• Experience inspecting roadway, highway, bridge, or other heavy civil construction projects.
• Working knowledge of TxDOT plans, specifications, standard details, and construction practices.
• Experience reviewing daily reports, calculating quantities, and maintaining accurate project documentation.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and help resolve field issues and construction discrepancies.
• The ability to communicate effectively with engineers, contractors, inspectors, and public agency representatives.
