SUMMARY

The Project Engineer has responsibility for coordination of technical activities on assigned projects. Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates project duties in conjunction with the Project Manager & Project Superintendent. A Project Engineer will monitor work for quality assurance and quality control, accepted engineering practices and standards, ensures effective communication and coordination on assigned project between all disciplines and all other project assignments.

While on a project, the Project Engineer reports to the Project Manager & Project Superintendent, who has ultimate responsibility for both the quality of Haydon's deliverable and effective execution of project assignments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Management of Submittal & Shop Drawing process in accordance with CPM deliverable goals, including creation of submittal log.
• Timely material approval and procurement is a primary function of this position. Responsible for preparation and tracking of a formal Procurement Log of all materials for the project.
• Actively supports and enforces company safety policies and standards
• Document Control and record drawing maintenance, including distribution of updated drawings (ASI’s, RFI’s, sketches, etc.) to subcontractors in Procore.
• Manage the distribution and documentation of RFI process including linking back to as-built documents in Procore.
• Recognize inconsistencies, failures and ensure proper follow up/resolution through closeout of the issues related to the RFI and Submittal Process.
• Understand the scope of all Subcontractors. Keep Project Manager & Superintendent aware of special provisions of Subcontracts related to PE oversight.
• Begin to understand the scope of work / terms and conditions of the Prime Contract Agreement.
• Work with project team on CPM and Look-Ahead Schedule creation and distribution.
• Quality Assurance/Quality Control. Ensure all materials and equipment delivered and installed at project site are in strict accordance with plans, specifications, and approved submittals, which includes field inspections.
• Moderating and/or participating in Owner and Subcontractor meetings, including writing and distributing meeting minutes
• Assist with As-Builts and Close Out process, which includes collection thereof, tracking, training and turnover.
