Senior Technical Writer

DCS is searching for a performance-driven Senior Technical Writer to support US Army programs. A focus on either Analytical, Financial, logistics, engineering, technical writing and/or management of advanced networks for military vehicles and equipment. We're seeking individuals who are excited to take on meaningful challenges, contribute to innovative solutions, and help shape the future of a fastevolving mission space. This position will be supporting multiple locations.

• U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements.
• MA/MS/MBA from an accredited college or university in Technical Writing, English, Journalism, Creative Writing with 10 years of experience as a technical writer within the DOD environment.
• 2 additional years and a BA/BS or 5 additional years of experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
• Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
• Maintain records and files of work and revisions.
• Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers or establishment personnel.
• Confer with customer representatives, vendors, or subject matter experts to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication.
• Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, and content.
• Select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material.
• Study drawings, specifications, mockups, and product samples to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedure, and production sequence and detail.
• Assist in laying out material for publication.
• Draw sketches to illustrate specified materials or assembly sequence.

• Ability to obtain a secret clearance as needed.
