Twelfth IMPORT Designer & DESIGN Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Import Designer to lead the design and development process from concept to production. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the Better and Young Contemporary market.

• Create seasonal concepts and develop complete collections
• Coordinate samples, fabric sourcing, trims, and product development
• Create detailed Tech packs and Design documentation
• Oversee the production process from development through final delivery
• Communicate effectively with buyers, vendors, and overseas factories
• Ensure timelines, quality standards, and production requirements are met
• Manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
• Support general administrative functions related to design and production

• Fashion Design degree from an accredited fashion school
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in apparel design and product development
• Experience working with major retail and big-box clients
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabric sourcing, and production processes
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• International travel opportunities

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Design Assistant to support our design and production teams. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the fashion industry.

• Support the design team with daily administrative and organizational tasks
• Assist with sample management and tracking
• Create and update tech packs
• Source fabrics, trims, and development materials
• Sketch technical flats and assist with design documentation
• Communicate with vendors and factories, particularly in China, via email
• Maintain organized records and ensure accurate documentation
• Help coordinate production timelines and development schedules

• 2 years of apparel industry experience preferred (not required)
• Degree in Fashion Design preferred
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Must be eligible to work in the United States
