Worship Leader

The Worship leader serves alongside the Senior Pastor to lead the congregation in Christ-centered, biblically faithful worship. This role emphasizes congregational singing, theological depth, and spiritual leadership. The Worship Leader is not merely a musician, but one who helps the church exalt Christ and respond to the preaching of God’s Word.

• Plan and lead Sunday worship services in cooperation with the Senior Pastor.
• Select doctrinally sound hymns and songs that align with the message and theology of the church.
• Lead congregational singing in a way that encourages participation, not performance.
• Recruit, train, and care for choir members, musicians, and special music participants.
• Organize and lead weekly rehearsals. (As needed)
• Oversee worship service elements such as offertory, special music, and seasonal programs (e.g., Christmas, Easter).
• Provide basic oversight of sound and presentation media as needed.

• Maintain a growing personal walk with Christ.
• Model biblical character and servant leadership.
• Support and promote the overall vision and leadership of the church.
• Be a faithful member of the church body.*

• Clear testimony of salvation and believer’s baptism.
• Agreement with the church’s statement of faith.
• Musical ability (vocally strong; ability to play piano or guitar preferred).
• Strong relational and organizational skills.
