We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented
Dental Scheduling Coordinator
. If you’re enthusiastic, organized, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that provides excellent patient care for our community, we’d love to meet you!
As our
Scheduling Coordinator
, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations, supporting our team, and helping our practice provide excellent patient care. As an entry level position, familiarity with dental software is highly valued, but not required. We offer extensive opportunities for cross-training, professional growth, and career advancement within our practice.
You will manage patient schedules, maintain communication with both patients and staff, and your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Answer inbound calls to schedule, reschedule, or confirm patient appointments.
- Make outbound calls to patients to confirm or change appointment times.
- Use Open Dental Software to schedule, modify, and cancel appointments.
- Collect necessary patient information, including personal and insurance details.
- Notate all calls and interactions in the Open Dental Software appropriately.
- Apply the correct dental codes to ensure insurance coordination.
- Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance—reliable team members are key!
- Communicate professionally with team members and patients via chat, email, and phone.
- Learn new office technologies and protocols as they’re developed.
- Work independently as well as part of a team.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, and ready to start their career in dental administration. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential in this role! Ideal candidates will also have:
- A great work ethic with a professional demeanor
- Strong communication skills and a clear, positive, and professional telephone manner
- A detail-oriented mindset and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Comfortability with technology and computer software
- High School Diploma or GED certificate
- A commitment to confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards
- Ability to type 45 words per minute
- Flexibility and adaptability, with an understanding that job duties and work schedules may change based on company needs
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain positive relationships with patients and the team
- Effective verbal communication and listening skills to interact clearly and professionally with patients and staff
- Availability for day shifts
