Job Description

Provide comprehensive and appropriate dental care and treatment to patients. Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries and malformations of teeth and gums and related oral structures.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Directly affect improvements in patient well-being through accurate and timely diagnosis and delivery of high-quality dental treatment. Ensure the delivery of competent, accurate dental care to all patients as assigned.
  • Provide leadership and direction to other dental clinic staff. Influence overall clinic results. Meet or exceed measurable standards of care, including clinical, quality, and productivity goals.
  • Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and confidentiality with patient charting and related administrative functions.
  • Operational Excellence:
    Ensure all dental treatment is consistent with regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards, including clinic policies and quality initiatives.
  • Ensure practices align with contracted protocols and procedures.
  • Relationship Management:
    Develop favorable relationships with patients, families, vendors, contractors, and payor sources. Collaborate with other dentists and staff to support clinic operations.
  • Professionalism and Stewardship:
    Conduct oneself professionally and align with Centro Med policies and mission.

Essential Functions

  • Perform quality clinical and radiographic evaluations to diagnose and treat diseases of the oral cavity.
  • Educate patients on preventive and restorative dentistry and oral hygiene.
  • Follow all Dental Clinic protocols and treatment plans per Standards of Care and Clinical Quality.
  • Document and follow treatment plans and contribute to clinical outcome measures.
  • Manage patient flow and support productivity goals.
  • Participate in annual evaluation of dental support staff and dental quality assurance programs (quarterly chart audits, infection control, OSHA regulations).
  • Review and implement changes to ensure quality of service; monitor Continuing Dental Education requirements for Texas licensure.
