Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Drafter/Designer to join our team. As a Drafter/Designer, you will work closely with engineers and project managers to create detailed technical drawings for our tactical building designs. You will play a key role in turning conceptual designs into precise and executable plans that meet both client specifications and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using Sketchup, Fusion 360, Revit, & Inventor software for modular and tactical buildings.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to translate project concepts into technical designs.
- Review and revise designs based on feedback from the project team and clients.
- Ensure that designs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Produce technical documentation and drawings for manufacturing and construction purposes.
- Assist in preparing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Maintain accurate records of design changes and project progress.
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to ensure design feasibility and cost efficiency.
- Participate in design reviews and provide recommendations for design improvements.
- Proven experience as an Drafter/Designer, preferably in the construction or tactical building industry.
- Proficiency in Sketchup, Fusion 360, Revit, Inventor and other drafting/design software.
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A degree or certification in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience with modular or tactical buildings is a plus.
