• Directs, develops and oversees general safety policy and procedures
• Ensures the workplace is in compliance with OSHA and other state, local or industry specific regulations
• Manages the Safety and Health function to meet our Safety Policy
• Responsible for the promotion of Safety and Health of the Beasley Operation
• Ensures Safety Audits are conducted on a weekly basis and provides management with metrics to improve
• Participates and/or leads incident investigations for compliance to safety standards
• Adapts to operational needs and addresses immediate concerns of the manufacturing environment
• Plan and direct safety orientation, skills trainings, emergency plans and job specific safety training
• Collects and analyzes safety related data to reduce and prevent workplace accidents and improve overall facility safety record

REQUIRED PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) WHILE IN THE SHOPS:

• Safety Glasses
• Steel Toe Shoes
• Ear Plugs
• Hard Hat (when needed)
• Gloves (when needed)
• Face Shield (when needed)
• Occasional exposure to heights and confined spaces

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands; and reach with hands and arms.

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety or similar degree preferred. In lieu of a bachelors degree, additional 2 years of safety experience with an Associates or an additional 4 years of safety experience with no degree and a strong track record of success.
