A respected partner equine hospital in Waller, Texas
, is seeking a board-eligible or ACVS board-certified Equine Surgeon to join its growing five-doctor referral and primary care team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and compassionate professional looking to make a lasting impact in a collaborative, state‑of‑the‑art environment.
The incoming surgeon will handle a broad and stimulating caseload that includes elective and emergency surgeries, lameness evaluations, and both in‑patient and out‑patient medical management. Limited ambulatory work and shared on‑call responsibilities round out this dynamic role.
Facility & Equipment:The hospital offers a modern, fully equipped facility, including:
- Surgical suite with two recovery stalls
- Two dedicated exam rooms
- Reproductive lab with mare stocks and stallion collection area
- 15 standard stalls, 5 ICU stalls, isolation unit, and 15 turnout paddocks
- Onsite, 24/7 support by experienced veterinary technicians
Advanced equipment and capabilities include:
- Digital radiography and ultrasonography
- Video endoscopy and gastroscopy
- Arthroscopy and laparoscopy
- Shockwave therapy and regenerative laser therapy
- Full in‑house lab with Coggins testing
- Anderson sling
- Modern anesthesia monitoring with positive pressure ventilation
The ideal candidate is a team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a passion for high-quality equine care. Board-eligible surgeons will be provided with three months of study leave to prepare for board examinations.
