We are seeking a board-certified Psychiatrist to fill an exciting locum tenens opportunity in Texas, located near Pittsburg. This position offers a dynamic schedule with a mix of inpatient work and rotational call coverage. January 13, 2025
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 1-hour lunch. Rotational night and weekend call:
Night Call: 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Weekend Call: 5:00 PM Friday to 5:00 PM Sunday. Patient Volume:
Inpatient care: 7???14 patients per shift. Practice Setting:
Focus on inpatient psychiatry. Occasional outpatient sessions, such as Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) appointments, four hours in the afternoon once or twice weekly. Responsibilities:
Treat a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including anxiety, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, and more. Provide pharmacotherapy, group therapy, family therapy, and seclusion/restraint techniques as needed. Supervise psychiatry residents during interactions and teaching opportunities. Requirements:
Board Certification:
Required in Psychiatry. Licensure:
Active Texas medical license is mandatory. Must be comfortable supervising residents and working in collaboration with medical students.
Experience with Epic EMR is preferred but not required. Additional Details:
Temporary hospital privileges available for a quick start. Travel and lodging assistance provided by the vendor. No trauma or pediatric-level certifications required for this role.
