Sports Medicine Opportunity in the Scenic Hills of Southeast Ohio
Medical Group seeks a primary care sports medicine physician interested in a small‑town setting, friendly patients, and a safe community to raise your family. We are less than an hour from Columbus, offering a range of shopping, restaurants, sports, and music venues, plus John Glenn International Airport. The Hills is a summer tourist destination for hiking, canoeing, and relaxation, located 40 minutes from Ohio University and an hour from Ohio State University.
The position is outpatient only in a clinic within walking distance of a 25‑bed critical‑access county hospital. The hospital has a Behavioral Health Unit, as well as a busy Urgent Care and Emergency Department, and is part of the Ohio State University Hospital Network, providing extensive resources and a robust referral network. The community currently has eight primary care physicians serving 7,500 residents and a service area of 40,000+ people.
Several specialists maintain satellite clinics in our Medical Arts Building, so patients do not need to travel elsewhere.
Seeing 20–25 patients per day enables a great work/life balance with no on‑call coverage. The community supports its local sports teams, and patient volume typically fills the schedule. The practice uses an electronic health record and patient portal to stay compliant with CMS and MACRA guidelines.
