This mid-size hospital-based cancer center provides dedicated radiation oncology services in a structured on-site clinic environment in Uvalde, Texas. The facility maintains established clinical protocols and appropriate resources to support coordinated oncology patient management. The center is equipped with the Aria treatment planning system and is structured to accommodate locum tenens clinicians during short-term day shift coverage periods.

Uvalde, Texas offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor and cultural activities suited to varied interests. The area features scenic parks with opportunities for hiking, camping, tubing, fishing, and river floating, as well as historic sites such as the Briscoe-Garner Museum and the Uvalde Grand Opera House. Throughout the year, clinicians may also attend local events including rodeos, air shows, and food and wine festivals across the region.

Clinicians will provide clinic-based radiation oncology services on a day shift schedule at this on-site facility in Uvalde, Texas, with no call, weekend, or holiday requirements. Daily responsibilities include managing approximately 15 patients per day, with an estimated 3 follow-up visits per day and no new consults. Treatment modalities delivered include 3D conformal radiation therapy, IMRT, and SBRT, with treatment planning supported by the Aria system.

The clinician will serve as the sole physician during the coverage period and will be supported by a full complement of clinical staff.
