Primary

Purpose:

* Provide a holistic approach to each student's education, while developing the skills needed to excel in the sport(s) assigned.

* Embrace and encourage a state level culture, while continually growing all extracurricular activities.

* Coach under the loyalty of a blue collar community and the unwavering support of an outstanding administrative staff.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

* Bachelor's degree

* Valid Texas teaching certificate

* Teaching field is open

* Current first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and automated external defibrillator (AED) certificate

* Clear and valid Texas commercial driver's license with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements

Special Knowledge/

Skills:

* Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

* Understanding of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules.

* Knowledge of sports specific coaching techniques and procedures, to include film breakdown, practice planning, and individual position management.

* Ability to instruct and hold student athletes accountable within a championship caliber culture.

* Ability to operate within the bounds of the Queen City Athletic department's core values - Relationships, Growth, Belief, Integrity, Discipline and Service.

Experience:

* One year of teaching/coaching experience and/or Professional/College/Varsity participant experience in the sport assigned.
