Job Description Summary

The Adjunct Faculty in Healthcare Management will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging instruction in healthcare management courses to undergraduate and/or graduate students. This position requires a knowledgeable professional with expertise in healthcare systems, policy, and management practices. The instructor will develop and implement curriculum, assess student learning, and foster a collaborative educational environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.

Key responsibilities include preparing course materials, conducting lectures and discussions, evaluating student performance, and providing mentorship and guidance to students. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background and practical experience in the healthcare sector, demonstrating a commitment to student success and the advancement of healthcare education.

Candidates with a master's degree in healthcare management, business administration, or related fields, along with relevant professional experience in healthcare settings, are encouraged to apply. Teaching experience at the college level is preferred but not mandatory. Required Education

All faculty members must provide minimum Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) credential standards which normally include a Master's degree with 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline. Transcripts, certificates, and/or license must be submitted with application.

Required Experience

* Strong background related to course selection.

* Professional/teaching experience in healthcare management,

* Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred.

* Courses are specifically to teach online.

Preferred Education

* Terminal degree in Healthcare Management or related field.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Primary duties of adjunct faculty include teaching courses in the approved discipline, providing instruction to facilitate student acquisition of the specific learning outcomes identified for the assigned courses, as well as mentoring students in and outside of the classroom. The adjunct faculty member creates and maintains an effective learning environment in the modalities of the courses assigned, be they face-to-face, hybrid, online, or within the context of dual credit instruction.

All faculty members are expected to maintain familiarity with and adhere to College policies and procedures.

Each adjunct faculty member must demonstrate the ability to instruct in face-to-face, hybrid, online, and dual credit courses; ability to provide instruction that will achieve the specific goals and objectives associated with all assigned courses; ability to create a professional and effective learning environment in the classroom and/or laboratory; ability to communicate effectively with students, college personnel and administration, peers and public groups;
