Provide curriculum leadership and support classroom teaching to ensure an aligned and articulated instructional program for the campus based on district strategic initiatives.
QualificationsEducation/Certification:
- Master’s degree from accredited university (preferred)
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject assigned

Skills:
- Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation
- Ability to interpret data and evaluate instruction programs and teaching effectiveness
- Ability to develop and deliver training to adult learners
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
- 8 or more years teaching experience
- Work cooperatively with directors and campus principals in developing and supervising the instructional programs on the campus.
- Coordinate the review, development, and revision of all subject area programs and related curriculum documents and materials, including curriculum guides, course outlines, and teaching plans.
- Collaborate with Principal, Accountability Coordinator and Superintendent to monitor progress towards exemplar campus ratings and disseminate areas of focus to teaching staff.
- Coordinate the PLT model for the campus and ensure meetings are conducted with fidelity and centered on student needs rather than adult preferences.
- Evaluate the curriculum and instruction program effectiveness for assigned subject area based on evaluative findings (including student achievement data) and recommend changes as needed.
- Maintain a resource library of publications, supplementary materials, and supplies relevant to the assigned subject area.
- Monitor and evaluate Eduphoria data to determine gaps or adjustments needed and support staff with Eduphoria data disaggregation.
- Plan and provide staff development for teachers, administrators, and staff in Data Driven Instruction and fidelity of resources use.
- Disseminate information regarding current research and significant developments on the state and national levels.
- Observe classroom instruction and provide feedback and assistance to classroom teachers to facilitate improvement and innovation. Demonstrate teaching strategies with students in classroom.
- Mentor new teachers and provide targeted supports for classroom management, lesson planning, and overall pedagogical support.
- Participate in Instructional Coaching Training and Texas Instructional Leadership Training
- Maintain TTESS Certification and serve as a TTESS walkthrough monitor
- Serve as the campus Liaison for Teacher Incentive Allotment direct support with data collection.
- Support teachers in creating and maintaining artifacts for SLOs (Student Learning Objectives)
- Convey information to parent and community members about school programs.
- Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required.
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
