JOB GOALTo provide the appropriate instruction for all students assigned to them to maximize the potential of these students
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES- Follow professional practices consistent with school and system policies in working with students, student records, parents, and colleagues.
- Facilitate home-school communication by holding conferences, telephoning and sending written communications
- Maintain confidentiality of students and students' records.
- Work cooperatively with school administrators, special support personnel, colleagues, and parents.
- Comply with school, system, and state administrative regulations and Board of Education policies
- Conduct assigned classes at the times scheduled
- Enforce regulations concerning student conduct and discipline
- Provide adequate information, plans, and materials for a substitute teacher
- Maintain accurate, complete and appropriate records and files reports promptly.
- Attend and participate in faculty meetings and other assigned meetings and activities according to school policy
- Demonstrate professional practices in teaching and models correct grammar and usage.
- Demonstrate accurate and up to date knowledge of content
- Implement designated curriculum and ensure students receive all services assigned
- Maintain lesson plans as required by school policy
- Protect records, equipment, materials, and facilities
- Assume responsibility for supervising student in out of class settings
- Attend all meetings concerning their students and follow Due Process procedures
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned by the Director of Student Services, Principal, or Designee.
- Follows the Georgia Professional Standards for Educators
