Job Description

Imogene Glenn Elementary School Principal

We are seeking a qualified Principal to lead Imogene Glenn Elementary School (PK-5) in Yantis, Texas.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate strong leadership in improving instruction on a Title I campus.
  • Develop and utilize curriculum and assessment to drive instruction.
  • Build a positive campus culture with students and staff.
  • Establish, delegate, and maintain authority and accountability.
  • Develop a discipline plan that proactively decreases campus discipline issues.
  • Exemplify effective personnel policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Communicate openly with the superintendent, faculty, staff, parents, and community.
  • Provide sound recommendations to the superintendent and implement directives received.
  • Collaborate on the development of a master schedule and coordination with other campus schedules.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree (preferred).
  • Texas principal or other appropriate certificate and T‑TESS certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in elementary school campus‑level administration and instructional leadership.
  • Strong background in student performance success, educational technology, and curricular programs.
  • Knowledge of Title I instructional improvement and student achievement strategies.
  • Experience developing and managing discipline plans for a Title I campus.
  • Prior experience in building trust and teamwork with staff and parents.
  • Ability to verbalize the principal’s role in the entire educational process and to produce independent judgment.
  • Citizenship, residency, or a valid work visa is required.
