Mineola ISD is seeking a dedicated, student‑centered long‑term band sub to join a proud and tradition‑rich band program serving grades 6–12. Mineola High School Band is a five‑time UIL 3A State Marching Champion and a two‑time 3A State Honor Band with a longstanding commitment to excellence in both marching and concert performance.
This position includes teaching responsibilities at the middle school and high school levels, with an emphasis on building strong fundamentals and developing student leadership throughout the program.
Primary Responsibilities- Teaching beginner clarinets and saxophones
- Assist with all aspects of the 6–12 band program, including marching band, concert band, and UIL preparation
- Contribute to a positive, hard‑working culture that reflects pride in our school and community
- Collaborate closely with band staff, campus administration
- Negotiable: before/after school rehearsals, contests, and performances
- Strong knowledge of woodwind pedagogy and rehearsal techniques
- Woodwind background preferred
