Grades 6–8 | Full-Time | 10-Month Position

• Seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and student-centered Middle School Art Teacher.

• Teach visual arts to students in grades 6–8.
• Foster creativity, artistic expression, and confidence.
• Create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
• Encourage collaboration, critical thinking, and appreciation for the arts.

• Plan and deliver engaging art lessons aligned with North Carolina standards.
• Teach a variety of artistic techniques and media.
• Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners.
• Maintain a positive and organized classroom environment.
• Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback.
• Display and celebrate student artwork throughout the school.
• Maintain classroom supplies, materials, and equipment.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
• Support school culture and student character development.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Art Education or related field.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for working with students.

Preferred:

• Previous middle school teaching experience.
• Experience with multiple art forms and media:
  • Drawing
  • Painting
  • Sculpture
  • Digital art
  • Mixed media
• Ability to integrate project-based and cross-curricular learning.
