Direct and manage overall campus operations. Provide leadership for the campus instructional program to ensure high standards of instruction, student achievement, positive school culture, operational effectiveness, and compliance with district policies and state and federal requirements.
Qualifications Education/Certification- Master's degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas principal certificate or other appropriate Texas certification
- Certified Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) appraiser
- Knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment systems
- Ability to evaluate instructional effectiveness and student performance data
- Ability to manage budgets, personnel, and campus operations
- Ability to implement district policies and procedures effectively
- Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to foster collaboration, accountability, and positive campus culture
- Minimum of two years successful classroom teaching experience required
- Campus or instructional leadership experience preferred
- Monitor instructional programs and student performance to ensure continuous improvement and academic success
- Provide instructional resources and support to teachers and staff
- Establish clear expectations for instructional practices, classroom management, and professional conduct
- Support collaborative decision‑making and instructional leadership among staff
- Use student performance and instructional data to guide campus improvement efforts
- Promote effective instructional strategies and interventions for diverse student needs
- Develop and implement campus improvement plans aligned to district goals and accountability expectations
- Lead campus planning and site‑based decision‑making processes
- Ensure effective communication with district leadership, staff, students, parents, and community stakeholders
- Manage campus budgets and operational resources responsibly
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly campus environment
- Oversee campus facilities, operations, and extracurricular activities as assigned
- Serve as campus behavioral coordinator in accordance with state laws and district procedures
- Implement student discipline systems that promote positive student behavior and school climate
- Ensure student discipline is fair, equitable, and aligned with district expectations
- Conduct conferences and problem‑solving meetings with students, staff, and families
- Promote student leadership, engagement, and positive school culture
- Select, supervise, evaluate, and support campus staff
- Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities for staff
- Promote accountability, collaboration, and professionalism among campus personnel
- Support campus‑level planning and professional learning activities
- Make recommendations regarding staffing, assignments, retention, discipline, and dismissal
- Promote positive relationships with parents, community members, and stakeholders
- Communicate campus goals, expectations, and achievements effectively
- Encourage parent and community involvement in campus activities and programs
- Respond professionally and timely to campus concerns and issues
- Represent the district and campus positively in the community
- Ensure compliance with district policies, state and federal laws, and accountability requirements
- Maintain accurate campus records, reports, and documentation
- Participate in district leadership meetings and professional development opportunities
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures
Supervise and evaluate assistant principals, teachers, counselors, librarians, instructional aides, office staff, custodians, and other campus personnel assigned to the campus.
