Purpose:

Provide instructional assistance to students under the direct supervision of a certified teacher. Assist in preparing, conducting, and managing classroom activities.

• High school diploma or GED equivalency certificate.
• Ability to assist in instructing reading, writing and mathematics
• Ability to work well with students
• Ability to communicate effectively

• Enjoy cooking – culinary experience preferred, but not necessary
• Some experience working with students

• Help supervise students throughout the school day, inside the classroom and the culinary lab.
• Assist teacher and students in cleaning and properly maintaining the culinary lab.
• Make teacher aware of special needs or problems of individual students.
• Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.
• Provide instruction to students under the direction of the teacher, work with individual students or small groups.
• Track inventory and restock inventory.
• Assist with culinary lab prep and clean up.
