Qualifications
  • Bachelor and Master’s degree in Education
  • Valid Texas Teacher’s Certificate
  • Five years of relevant experience in management/administration of CCMP programs and CCMR tracking
  • Knowledge of effective research: change process, systems thinking, organizational culture, and adult learners
  • Ability to plan, implement, deliver, and sustain professional development for related school staff
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience coordinating work‑based learning experiences
  • Advanced knowledge of graduation requirements and CTE pathways for students
  • Proven ability to secure, administer, and oversee grant‑funded programs
  • Knowledge of federal and state accountability programs
  • Recommended by the ESC Executive Director
Center Responsibilities
  • Process all personal timekeeping, travel reporting and other paperwork in a timely manner
  • Maintain professional attire and grooming appropriate for the position
  • Demonstrate punctual and regular attendance on the job
  • Report for work ready to perform responsibilities
  • Support the mission, goals, and objectives of the ESC
  • Uphold and adhere to safety rules and policies of the ESC
  • Perform professional responsibilities as required by ESC policies, processes, and procedures
  • Meet proficiency levels of required technology skills as outlined by supervisor
  • Incorporate appropriate technology in daily work and exhibit continual growth in technologies as outlined by supervisor
  • Exhibit professionalism in all situations at the ESC
  • Develop collaborative and positive relationships with schools and co‑workers
  • Exhibit planning and leadership on assigned tasks and projects
  • Take initiative and exhibit innovative thinking
  • Keep supervisor advised of all pertinent financial and operations business

Department Responsibilities
  • Handle and see to completion multiple projects simultaneously and on deadline
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Work as a member of a team but also independently
  • Uphold confidentiality of the information processed in all work, if required
  • Attend all called meetings including departmental staff meetings, work team meetings, and general staff meetings
  • Contribute actively to assigned work teams
  • Develop and implement an individual work plan that contributes to departmental, Leadership and Instruction Team, and organizational goals
  • Analyze metrics, evaluate outcomes, and make adjustments to optimize impact of work
  • Commit to providing exceptional customer service

Position Responsibilities
  • Oversee and lead the Northeast Texas Career Alliance (NTCA) and fulfill all responsibilities as outlined in the NTCA Partnership Memorandum of Understanding
  • Lead opportunities to grow NTCA partnerships and pathways
  • Build industry partnerships and connect LEAs with opportunities for work‑based learning
  • Provide advising support on topics such as FAFSA, college preparatory exams, graduation planning, career exploration, and secondary master scheduling
  • Facilitate and support completion of grant responsibilities (e.g., Texas Rural Pathways Network Grant and Effective Advising Grant)
  • Provide support and training around the CCMR indicators for state accountability
  • Collaborate cross‑departmentally to provide professional development for related staff on topics such as advising, CTE programs of study, accountability, and graduation
  • Facilitate and attend ISD CTE advisory committees when requested
  • Coordinate with other relevant agencies
  • Assist in facilitating the CTE Perkins SSA
  • Contract with districts, as necessary, to provide services
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and other relevant professional organizations
  • Travel by driving one’s own vehicle to and from LEAs to fulfill program and project specifications; out‑of‑region travel may also be required
Special Assignments

Additional projects as assigned by supervisor or Executive Director

Terms of Employment

Up to 226 working days

This is an at‑will employment position

In the event of an economic slump, a reduction‑in‑force may be necessary. Employees will be notified in writing

Funding Source

Locally funded, Grant funded (may not exist past the end date)

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Master’s degree preferred
