* SUMMARY:

**** Adjunct Faculty
** refers to an educator hired to teach on a course-by-course basis throughout an academic year.
*
* DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

*** Teach three semester credit hours per 7-week term in the fully online competency-based education (CBE) format supporting the CBE Orientation Courses.
* Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours and provide timely feedback on assignments and assessments.
* Facilitate courses by adhering to the standard course syllabus as provided by the Assistant Dean.
* Monitor undergraduate-level orientation courses for CBE programs and provide weekly status reports to advisors.
* Develop and maintain teaching materials (e.g., syllabi, course content, question libraries, etc.).
* Prepare and evaluate course assignments and examinations.
* Other duties as assigned.

* MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

* Education:

** Terminal degree in public safety or closely related field with 18 hours in field/subject area OR Master’s degree in public safety with terminal degree in closely related field.

* Experience:

* ** Knowledge /

Skills:

** Proficient with computers and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.  Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
* ** Ability to:
** Multi-task and work cooperatively with others.  Work with minimal supervision.
