Position Overview:

Dawson ISD is seeking a motivated and dedicated Teacher / Coach to join our team. This position includes classroom teaching responsibilities along with coaching assignments based on the successful candidate's experience and the needs of the athletic program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about student success both in the classroom and in athletics.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach assigned courses in alignment with TEKS and district expectations
Create an engaging and structured classroom environment that promotes student learning
Serve as a coach in assigned athletic programs
Assist with planning, organizing, and supervising practices, games, and athletic events
Promote teamwork, discipline, leadership, and sportsmanship among student-athletes
Collaborate with coaching staff, administration, and faculty to support student success
Maintain communication with students, parents, and staff
Uphold district policies, UIL regulations, and professional standards
Participate in professional development and campus initiatives
