* SUMMARY:
** This position, under the direction of the Dean of Students, serves as the Administrative Hearing Officer for disciplinary cases involving alleged violations of the Student Code of Conduct and the Prevention Specialist for community outreach. The Assistant Director, under general direction, offers case management and resolution services to students through interventions, referrals, and connection to follow-up services to address the needs of students.
The Assistant Director is tasked with developing and executing outreach initiatives that support on-going education of position related policies, procedures, and reporting protocols. The Assistant Director serves as backup to the Dean of Students, as needed. This position is identified as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) and is required to report non-personally identifying information to the University Police Department related to any and all incidents that fall within the Jeanne Clery Act.

* DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
**** HEARING OFFICER & ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES (40%):
*** Assist in the receipt of complaints and investigation of allegations of violations of the Code of Student Conduct. Serve as a hearing officer for administrative cases of student and group/organization misconduct; utilize restorative justice to mediate assigned cases involving student conflict.
* Adjudicates alleged violations of the conduct code in accordance with ETAMU policies and procedures.
