Morton ISD is currently seeking an Elementary Special Education Teacher.
Position OverviewWe are looking for a passionate educator who can inspire students in the classroom.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements
- Elementary certification preferred (or enrollment in an alternative certification program required)
- Strong knowledge of assigned subjects and instructional practices
- Effective classroom management and student engagement skills
- Ability to motivate students and build confidence for lifelong success
- Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and staff
- ESL certification preferred
- 4-day school week (Monday–Thursday) for improved work-life balance
- Competitive salary
- 90% of Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) paid directly to teachers
- TEA-approved TIA district
Current TIA Tier 4 Allotments:
- Master Teacher: $28,975
- Exemplary Teacher: $16,185
- Recognized Teacher: $8,092
