PART TIME POSITION: 3:30 - 6:00 p.m. (Approx 10 hrs/wk)

• An associate’s (or higher) degree preferred but not required
• Minimum 1 year experience working with school-age children required

• The Campus Leader will direct, organize and manage the daily operations of Bushland after-school program learning opportunities
• Create and reinforce an inviting and safe expanded learning environment for students including, but not limited to, age-appropriate enrichment, creative arts, and recreation activities
• Work with groups of children with diverse abilities and needs and ensure safety and well-being of students at the assigned campus
• Communicate clearly with parents about their children and the program
• Communicate and work collaboratively with the campus administration and staff to identify community and student needs and provide consistency with campus climate and procedures, and ensure proper use of building materials and equipment
• Maintain efficient and accurate student records including attendance, medical, and discipline records with discretion, in a timely manner and in compliance with confidentiality requirements
• Maintain a professional and confidential relationship with regard to student, parents, and other staff
• Provide strong leadership to multiple staff; provide ongoing targeted coaching and training on prescribed areas
• Review daily attendance and implement steps to verify absences and ensure all children are accounted for on a constant/daily basis
• Maintain a highly functional site at assigned campus in compliance with district, health, nutritional and program standards, policies and procedures
• Complete training in emergency preparedness plan including certification in CPR/First Aid
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Be able to walk and stand for sustained periods of time
• Be able to change from sitting on the floor to standing positions often
• Demonstrate knowledge of child development theories and practices related to the physical, intellectual and social development of school-age students
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both orally and written
• Ability to handle stressful situations, multi-task and meet deadlines
• Other duties as assigned
