Teacher Visually Impaired; TVI | Olmito, Texas

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to serve as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired at a school near Olmito, TX. This contract opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about fostering independence and academic growth for students with visual impairments.

• Valid teaching certification with endorsement in Visual Impairments (TVI), or eligibility for state certification
• Previous experience working with students with visual impairments preferred
• Strong knowledge of Braille and assistive technologies
• Ability to collaborate with general and special education staff
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  
  Comfortable adapting curriculum and materials to meet individual student needs

• Assess students needs and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to their goals
• Deliver direct instruction to students with visual impairments, both individually and in classroom settings
• Adapt classroom materials and curriculum using Braille, large print, or technology-based resources
• Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff on appropriate accommodations and modifications
• Collaborate with families and related service providers to ensure student progress and success
• Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and ongoing professional development
