Qualifications- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Valid Texas teaching certificate in area of assignment with endorsement for subject and level assigned.
- Candidates not yet certified may be considered for a certification waiver under the District of Innovation (DOI) Plan based on training and work experience.
- For the current recruitment cycle, DOI waivers are approved for the school year only. Continued employment beyond this period will require issuance of a valid Texas Intern Certificate or full completion of an approved educator preparation program (EPP).
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
Special Knowledge/Skills- Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
