Location: Decatur

Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students at an Intermediate School Campus as an Educational Diagnostician. In this dynamic, onsite role, you will collaborate closely with educators and families near Decatur, TX, to help learners reach their fullest potential during the  academic year. You'll make a meaningful difference by guiding the education process through targeted assessments and recommendations, partnering with a dedicated support network, and building positive relationships within the school community.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
  • Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician in Texas (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Experience working in a public school or similar educational environment
  • Strong knowledge of special education law, evaluation procedures, and IEP development
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 90 students while maintaining accuracy and timeliness
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive educational assessments for referred students, evaluating academic, cognitive, and social-emotional needs
  • Interpret test results and collaboratively develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Deliver detailed written and verbal reports to staff and families, ensuring clarity and understanding
  • Offer consultative support and expertise to teaching staff regarding instructional strategies and accommodations
  • Maintain meticulous records and participate in ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings as required
  • Serve as a resource for ongoing professional development and compliance updates within the school
