Hale Center ISD is participating in the Texas Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) program. Outstanding teachers hired in TIA‑eligible positions may earn additional compensation based on demonstrated instructional effectiveness and student growth, and may achieve state designations (Recognized, Exemplary, Master).

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
• Valid Texas teaching certificate for assignment
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – required

• Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the district curriculum program requirements and provide written evidence of preparation, including accommodations for individual differences.
• Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, equipment, and technology that reflect the learning styles and needs of students, and present subject matter according to Texas Education Agency guidelines, board policies, and administrative regulations.
• Conduct assessment of student learning styles and use results to plan instructional activities.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula as required for special education students in accordance with Individual Education Plans (IEP).
• Work with staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods according to district requirements.
• Plan and assign work to instructional aides and volunteers, oversee completion.
• Assess student achievement through formal and informal testing.
• Assume responsibility for extracurricular activities as assigned, and sponsor outside activities approved by the campus principal.
• Be a positive role model for students and support the district mission.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for learners’ physical, social, and emotional development.
• Manage student behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and handbook.
• Protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities with reasonable precautions.
• Select books, equipment, and instructional materials.
• Compile, maintain, and file required reports, records, and documents.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships and open communication with parents, students, colleagues, and community members.
• Participate in staff development activities to improve job‑related skills.
• Comply with state, district, and school regulations and policies for classroom teachers.
• Attend faculty meetings and serve on staff committees as required.
