Coordinator of Assessment and Accountability

Job DescriptionPrimary
Purpose:
Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of the district’s assessment and accountability programs under the direction of the Director of Assessment & Accountability. Coordinate the administration and security of state and local assessments, including STAAR and TELPAS, and assist with college, career, and military readiness (CCMR) testing. Compile, organize, and analyze district, campus, and student data to support accountability reporting and continuous improvement.
Provide training and technical assistance to campus testing coordinators and staff, and use data analysis to support instructional improvement and ensure compliance with Texas Education Agency (TEA) requirements.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred
Valid Texas teaching certificate required
ExperienceMinimum of three years of experience in education, assessment coordination, accountability systems, or a related field preferred
Campus testing coordinator or district assessment experience required
Experience in accountability, assessment coordination, or school improvement preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills- Strong knowledge of Texas assessment and accountability systems, including A–F ratings, domain calculations, CCMR, STAAR, and TELPAS
- Knowledge of state assessment administration procedures and test security requirements
- Knowledge of assessments and assessment platforms, including state assessments, NWEA MAP, mCLASS, CLI, and TIDE
- Familiarity with the Results Driven Accountability (RDA) system
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and platforms such as Eduphoria, On Data Suite , NWEA MAP Growth reports, Excel, and TEA reporting tools
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and explain assessment and accountability data to varied stakeholders
- Knowledge of the Texas Education Code and the ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data
- Strong organizational, logistical planning, and project management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to manage timelines and multiple competing priorities
- Strong technology and data management skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with campus and district staff
- Highly organized and self-directed, with strong initiative and reliability in coordinating complex tasks across departments
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
